A few years ago, I took a trip on one of the Mississippi river boats that dock at Memphis. This tug pushing a large barge near the Hernando-DeSoto bridge intrigued me, and I snapped a few photos of it. The actual day was dreary and overcast, but I prefer strong sunlight and shadows because they add drama and interest to a painting. Memphis and Mississippi River fans will enjoy this painting.
